{Smart Fashion}: Vera Wang Spring 2013 Remarkable in Red

It’s safe to say Vera Wang’s latest collection at Bridal Fashion Week in NYC was RED HOT! I did not expect to see bright red and darker, more purple-red dresses make their way down the runway, but that’s why Vera Wang reigns supreme – she always dazzles! Next year brides with fiery personalities can look fierce and stunning in a fire engine scarlet or cardinal red gown, or have a more vintage and romantic feel in a crimson-hued gown, the color of a deep red wine. Some other trends we saw from this collection? Mermaid and ballgown silhouettes, floral details and lots of lace ruled the runways at this year’s bridal market, and Vera was no exception.

Oh, and just a BTW – For the brides that love the silhouettes and details but are perhaps a little more on the traditional side, all of the gowns also come in elegant ivory!

Here’s a sneak peak at what you’ll be seeing next year in the bridal boutiques from Vera! I predict lots of “Lady in Red” playing at weddings in the future…

What do you think of the red bridal gown trend?? Red hot? Or will it burn out??

  1. oh I think it’s brilliant! The rich colors bring such depth to the gowns showcasing their stunning detail. A bride can always envision a gown in white but to see it in cardinal or scarlet it is to truly love a dress. Vera Wang gets me. <3
